Russian-Indian military cooperation: Moscow wins USD 2.9 billion contract

Russia and India signed two contracts for almost $ 2.9 billion in the field of military and technical cooperation, announced Monday a RIA Novosti correspondent in New Delhi.

The first contract, for $ 1.3 billion, focuses on the delivery of 71 Mi-17V-5 and the second estimated at $ 1.6 billion, plans to deliver to India technological packages for the construction Licensed hunters 42 SU-30MKI.

In addition, an agreement on the creation of a joint venture was signed between the group and the company Russian Helicopters Elcom Systems PVT Ltd..
