The "Liaoning" aircraft carrier of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAN) unmoored on October 23 to continue its trip for scientific experiments and trainings.

It is said that the trip of the "Liaoning" aircraft carrier this time will mainly center on experiments and trainings on maritime test flight of shipboard fighters.

The scope of no-sail sea area this time is completely the same as that when "Liaoning" aircraft carrier carried out its last training missions, according to sources.

Since 2013, the "Liaoning" aircraft carrier has successively completed such trainings as continuous take-off-and-landing and taking-off with maximum weight and at the shortest distance by the J-15 carrier-borne fighters. During the trainings, China's first batch of shipboard fighter pilots and carrier landing commanders successively obtained their qualification certifications.
